The Villager pub in Vigo has invited us to enjoy one of their home cooked lunches at the very reasonable price of £18 for two courses excluding service. Drinks and coffee will be available as extras. Then stay on and chat or come outside and try your skills at pétanque. If you’ve never played before don’t worry. It’s a slightly more aggressive form of bowls and everyone can have a go!

• Breaded Scampi, served with chunky chips, peas, tartar sauce & a wedge of lemon

• Steak & Ale Pie, served with vegetables & mashed potato

• Eton Mess, served with strawberries, cream & raspberry sauce
• Triple Chocolate Brownie, served warm with chocolate sauce
• Sticky Toffee Pudding, served warm with toffee sauce

The Villager pub is in Erskine Road, Vigo Village, DA13 0TD and is about ten minutes’ drive from Borough Green. There’s lots of parking and we can arrange lifts from Borough Green Village Hall for anyone who’d like to come along.
